The Fed and the flu in the Forex – part1

by admin ·

The Fed’s monetary policy refers to actions taken by the U.S. central bank to influence the currency value in order to promote national economic goals. In the U.S., the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 gave responsibility to the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy setting. The law was amended in 1977 to include the following two objectives, namely to promote maximum sustainable output and employment, in addition to creating stable prices.

What is monetary policy? One way to describe the monetary policy change is something that the central bank can directly manipulate, such as money supply or interest rates in the short term, also known as the federal funds rate. The federal funds rate is the interest rate at which banks lend their excess reserve funds at the Federal Reserve to other banks. The policy is considered “expansion” if the size of the money supply increases or decreases the interest rate, and is said to be in “decline” if you reduce the size of the money supply or interest rate increases.

Diversify your portfolio

by admin ·

Having a well-diversified portfolio is more essential than ever in the Forex , especially if you decide to work long term. Even the major brokers have made big mistakes (other than money and lost) only because he made the mistake of failing to properly diversified portfolio.

This problem can be solved based on two considerations, which concern the relationship between currencies and the relationship between the strategies adopted.

In the first case it is right to relate two or more currencies to calculate a kind of reliability of the currencies in the future. This method is recommended, however, little in the short term, because the social and political news, which occur every day, can influence the historical relations that in the long run, would surely be more reliable.

In addition, November 2 Barack Obama “plays” the mid-term elections, which are very important. Here’s how the dollar could be of significant shocks in the coming week of trading.

Regarding the performance of the week between euro and dollar, we can see that our currency has gained at the beginning and the end of the week, then losing in the middle of the week. For the next week, before entering the market, you should wait for the decisions and the effects of the Fed.

Tom DeMark (TD) Range Projection

by admin ·

The TD Range Projection, sometimes called TD Pivot Points, provides a range of next session through a simple calculation that uses the open, high, low and close of the previous session.

This indicator developed by Tom DeMark gives different weight to a minimum or maximum depending on the trend of the previous session. Thus, if the previous session was the greatest upside will have more weight in calculating the range, on the contrary, if the previous session was bearish, the minimum will have greater weight.

Dollar still falling

by admin ·

The dollar fell slightly against most other currencies rivals during the day yesterday after new signs of slower U.S. growth. The disappointing economic indicators have also reinforced the views of the Federal Reserve, about the fact of a stagnant economy stimulators.

The dollar fell against the yen going near the minimum of 15 years now. The euro, which is slightly to a negative trend, has reduced most of the initial losses during the night following the weak economic data from Germany and Japan.

These results have confirmed expectations of a relatively long time to the stimulus from the Fed, as part of a plan to buy bonds and flood the economy with new dollars, this is known as quantitative easing.

by admin ·

Regular readers of the blog already know my attitude towards fundamental analysis, I am always more cautious about it. It is so contradictory that I want to forget about it altogether. Let me explain why … Today I was stung two figures, one factual and the second one, which they said analysts.

First, tell you about today’s case. At 15.30 on Kiev time out a package of macroeconomic data from the U.S.: the producer price index, the U.S. trade balance and the applications for unemployment benefits. Considered separately:
Trade balance – growing trend has a positive impact on the national currency. Balance of trade declined, the idea was to weaken the dollar

Producer price index - an increasing trend has a positive impact on the national currency. PPI is highly regarded and has an impact on the market. Here the data come out exactly the same as analysts had expected.

Employment Cost Index

by admin ·

employment

The ‘fundamental analysis, ol’ market analysis based on economic indicators, is an important part that allows us to develop strategies for the Forex market. Most forex online platforms provide data on economic indicators through their online software and often do so for free. One of the most important indicators is certainly the employment cost index, ECI, one of the main tools for shaping the strategies of the Forex market.

What does it mean to measure the Employment Cost Index? The index of labor cost measure substantially the cost of doing business. We measure the monthly changes of crucial variables, such as employee wages, benefits and allowances for labor work. The ICE is very important because it helps to define the decisions and monetary policies of the Federal Reserve.
