Best book on psychology that I have ever met

by benjamin ·

I recently attended one of the most interesting and useful books that I ever met in my life on psychology. And I’m sure that the best books on psychology is not there. Actually I love all the books that change our minds for the better, and not just a source of information. I strongly advise everyone to read this book, it should open your eyes to things about which you yourself are unlikely to start to think. It is written in simple and understandable language, understand everything, but the main thing that the book really make you think.

Fidel Castro: “The happiness impossible”

by benjamin ·

obama_and_ahmadinejad

The man promised to be “happiest if he was wrong” and unfortunately my happiness lasted very little.

Not yet completed the World Cup. Still missing six days for the final match.

What an extraordinary opportunity will be lost possibly the Yankee empire and fascist state of Israel to keep away the minds of the vast majority of the inhabitants of the planet of its fundamental problems?

The culture of effort

by benjamin ·

effort

In all types of gatherings we see every day a general outcry that coincide in stating the loss of the culture of effort as one of the main problems to be solved to improve our prospects for social development. It is argued in this case with full reason, there has been a certain decline in the motivation of individuals to perform tasks that only be rewarded after a long period of time. Understanding why this effect occurs in today’s society we will make appropriate proposals to begin to reverse the situation:

Individuality to hit book

by benjamin ·

Following the laws of modern economics-Mr. Adam Smith, curious that something as distant call him a modern economy, so we will-for that, if we have a sandwich and two people, we should let them, in a selfish way, fight, compete for it. Resulting from this, a winner and a loser. In this case one goes hungry and the other not. There is always a loser.

But tell us in business schools, in classes of six to seven, that competition or individual ambition serves the common good. And after a short break in the class of seven to eight, we talk about corporate social responsibility. How do you eat it …?

I remember Victor Jara

Victor Jara son of humble peasants, was taken prisoner by the Chilean military in the State Technical University, where he worked, and stayed close to 600 students and professors to defend the government of Allende.

According to witness testimony, on September 15th, 1973 at the stadium in Chile that now bears his name, an army officer playing Russian roulette shot in the head singer at close range, after which he gave the order riddled with bursts of gunfire.

Collective suicide or death foretold?

by benjamin ·

There is concern, not a beat: it is continuous and obvious. The creation of many pages like this one, searching for greater awareness, the beginning of an understanding of all forms of life are one and are so close that a cell depends on the other. And the transparency of all that is happening around us, because nothing is hidden but hide it, it shows. It is a sense that, as things stand, is not at port, anywhere.

There is a rumor, an occasional gurgling. It’s much more. It’s definitely a general feeling throughout. It is as clear a perception, a photograph of the human family, that the way we all this strange, stupid, scaffolding (own ignorant) that we have built falls hopelessly. And as this feeling is on the billboard every day, what’s to come is not going to take them by surprise. It’s almost, almost, an announced death or collective suicide.

CHRISTIAN AND ANYTHING … Is it the same?

by benjamin ·

There is no shred of doubt that we live terrible identity crisis, because apparently, no matter the postmodern man belonging to a political sign, belong to a club or just develop activities of “respectable” professional camandulero.

Amid this “tsunami” emotional, however, the individual serves as a Christian. Occasionally attends Sunday worship, naturally invited to participate, without understanding a whistle, the celebration of the sacrament of baptism one hangs from the rearview mirror of your car a rosary parish hit by the Secretariat, etc.

“Back to jump farther?

by benjamin ·

I am entitled to feel outside the system, as well as to fight it with other weapons. When politicians talk about democracy and citizen participation, I look out the window to entertain myself with other things more rewarding. Perhaps that’s what they want, we move at all, do not disturb them in their shenanigans and outright horse-trading.

Criticism of the Humanities

by benjamin ·

Mario Bunge wrote in 1996 against the inaccuracy and charlatanism which fields in the humanities. And it turns out that students in these disciplines have to swallow that “reason is wrong,” “there is no objective truth” and that science “is sexist and evil, is to exploit us.” Result? The rise of pseudoscience and fraud by distrust in the rational capacity and a cultural kick to pull the most valuable thing we (the scientific method) in the trash.
