10 proposals to start building a new economic model

by Morales-Aguilera ·

global economy

For concrete and further fuel an interesting debate I leave with 10 proposals to start building a new post-capitalist economic model. Of course no solution can be implemented without a draft international consensus minimum when designing the “new rules” that should govern this relationship overall board called planet Earth.

1. The agreement of a global tax harmonization, with a small minimum and maximum fork. Not less than 45% of tax burden in any country in the world, more than 55%. The countries with the lowest human development indicators would be at the bottom of the fork, to attract investment.

Fiscal Harmonisation: A necessary first step

by Morales-Aguilera ·

Tax harmonization is one of many steps necessary to begin developing a new global society.

Today we see the great masses of nomads speculative capital to its knees are putting the states themselves. The margin of political action by governments is diminishing more because they always hanging over them the threat of relocation of large firms or the “punishment of the market” when they intend to implement social protection measures that are not palatable to the holders of capital. This must be stopped. It is neither more nor less than a struggle between large landowners and the fragile democracy worldwide, thanks to the continuous market of securities and commodities, but especially to the existence of countries with low or no taxation. Unfortunately citizen democracy is clearly losing this game, in recent years.

Rebuilding Europe yesterday and today

by Morales-Aguilera ·

rebuildingThe popular proverb, throughout history has made sayings that, far from being forgotten, are present at various times of life. I want to get one, very important in these times of economic upheaval in Europe. “Those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it.”

It seems that the rulers of Europe were not agreed of the various crises experienced during the twentieth century, including two world wars. Remembering this, I have come to the speech of Winston Churchill at the end of the 2nd World War. It is a speech full of hope and faith in people and enthusiasm in building a united Europe. This magnificent statesman is an example that our leaders should learn. It is a fact that a State Government to 20 years ahead, while the politician is doing it to win the next election. I suggest reading the speech to its end, because it is sweeping in its message, and clarifying its meaning, all set to today, but was delivered in 1946.

I acknowledge the death of a man

by Morales-Aguilera ·

imagen0027Danielle Bleitrach “Rebellion” Until today I have made more or less to translate and reproduce the texts that I sent on the case of Orlando Zapata, the Cuban prisoner who died from a hunger strike. There were several reasons for this:

1) The first is that the death of a human being, whoever and whatever the circumstances, it really affects me. And even more so in this case where there was a hunger strike, a self-destruction. The simple fact of seeing this man’s face was painful to me. It reminded me of Guy Georges, that mulatto who have always thought that eventually destroyed by a deep lack of love before becoming a serial murderer of elderly.
