Is the economy, stupid! “Is a phrase that he had written the former president Bill Clinton on a poster in his office, always remembering where I had to focus their efforts. It seems that Obama’s current “boss” American, would concentrate its energy on lowering the high unemployment resulting from the crisis of 2008, despite pressure from his cabinet of advisers monetarists who ask more attention to the potential emergence of inflationary pressures .

Clinton Aides Threaten Lawsuit in Texas

The Texas Democratic Party warned Thursday that election night caucuses scheduled for next Tuesday could be delayed or disrupted after aides to Hillary Clinton threatened to sue over the party’s complicated delegate selection process.

Chris Dodd Endorses Obama, Urges Party Unity

The blogosphere’s favorite son, Sen. Chris Dodd, endorsed Barack Obama today. His endorsement reflected the feeling that as March 4 approaches (and Obama continues to rise in the polls), this race is drawing to a close:

“It is now the hour to come together,” he told reporters in Cleveland. “I believe the hour has come now for us to make that choice – to stand up and say we’re going to get behind this candidacy.”

Clinton Says She Will Press the Delegate Issue

Hillary Clinton gave an interview to a local PBS show, Texas Monthly Talks, the other day, and though the interview won’t air on TV until next week, a clip regarding the Florida and Michigan delegates is already on-line. In it Clinton continues her case that her wins in Florida and Michigan should be counted as valid victories:

The press seems to have missed the distinction if that’s the case. The talk is that you agreed not to seat the delegation.

Clinton Opens Fire on Obama

According to CNN, Hillary Clinton’s campaign has opened full fire on the Obama campaign. For once, I think her rhetoric could really damage Obama’s credibility. I’d suggest Obama needs Edwards’ endorsement at this point to help him gain ground in Ohio, which is largely made up of middle-class workers who are largely Clinton supporters. All recent polls have him down by double digits in the Buckeye State. And Clinton has begun to go for the jugular.
