Hillary Clinton’s Concession Speech

I believe we can all be very pleased with Senator Clinton’s speech today. She did an excellent job of highlighting her own accomplishments, while still undeniably throwing her full support behind our nominee. I believed she did a great job of demonstrating the collective goals we all share, and helped to salve the bruises many of her supporters are probably nursing at the end of this hard-fought primary season. In fact, I believe this is one of her best speeches of the season (and not just because she’s endorsing Obama). I hope she can keep up the energy over the rest of this campaign season. Thank you, Senator. Today, we are no longer Clintonistas and Obamatons; we are all again Democrats.

Simpsons Sunday: “Oh No, My Brains.”

Sunday night must mean The Simpsons! I was practically breast-fed on this show. A full 48% of my brain capacity is reserved for Simpsons’ quotes. If they make too many more seasons, I’m pretty sure my brain will lose the ability to control my heart and lungs. I will experience death by Simpsons. Watch, and become infected:

I’ve felt like introducing some new features that aren’t strictly political — a little something to help personalize the blog. We added our first book review yesterday. We’ll probably be putting one up every couple of weeks. Sometimes they’ll be political books, sometimes not. We’re not concerned with reviewing the most recent releases, just what interests us at any given time. Similarly, I’ll probably be tossing up clips of things I like; hopefully, you’ll like them too.
