Dolar and terrorism

by Danielle ·

Now that the signatories to the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty, they are so busy with their speeches, work and negotiations to limit the number of weapons derived from the uranium and plutonium, we are told that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iranian President challenges to enrich uranium, while that warn of the dangers involved with nuclear pretensions, so that one grieves, I suppose it is hardly surprising.

At the same time Obama administration gives us details on the U.S. nuclear arsenal, composed only by 5113 nuclear warheads, when in 1976, so the Cold War, have reached 31 225 nuclear warheads. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iran’s president, this man so bad, he has no idea that the suspension of United States of the International Atomic Energy Agency, “for being the only country that really launched atom bombs.”

Cuba: the war we wage.

by Margarett ·

obama-gloriaThe media war against the Cuban revolution is, of course, new; has fifty years of uninterrupted experience. Have been common also other mechanisms of aggression, including acts of terror and the introduction of diseases to our population. Facts are clearly reprehensible crimes of peace (in the dirty war) who can not, however, to reach justice. Entrusted to the ephemeral global memory and distraction generated by the event itself informative, saturated spectacular elements while uncritical. Cultural industry meets only itself.

Cabinet Profile – Sec. of Defense: Chuck Hagel (Sen-NE)

by admin ·

Today we continue our series of cabinet profiles by looking at Sen. Chuck Hagel as a possibility for Sec. of Defense. Yesterday we looked at Sen. Joe Biden for Sec. of State. Things have been a bit busy around here, but we should have a full schedule drawn up in the next day or two. Finally, don’t forget to vote in our VP poll which ends tomorrow at midnight!

Vice Presidential Profiles: Ted Strickland (Gov-OH)

by admin ·

This is the second in our week long series profiling the most likely vice presidential candidates. Yesterday we looked at Virginia Senator Jim Webb; tomorrow we will be profiling Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius.

A man bound to be on the short list for Obama’s vice president is Ohio governor Ted Strickland. Not only is Strickland the governor of one of the most important swing states, but Ohio is also a state whose demographics don’t immediately favor Obama. Certainly Sen. Obama will pick up the lion’s share of Clinton supporters in the state, but he’s going to have to fight tooth and nail for conservative Democrats and independents against the so-called maverick, John McCain.Strickland

Vice Presidential Profiles: Jim Webb (Sen-VA)

by admin ·

Raylan Givens gives us our first vice presidential profile today. He takes a look at Jim Webb and finds some weaknesses. I’d also add that Jim Webb running as vice president would needlessly cost us a Senate seat that we might not be able to win again. Of equal importance is the fact that Jim Webb’s current approval rating in Virginia is only 47 percent, far less than Republican senator John Warner who polls at 62 percent. Webb also fails to gain majority approval from virtually every demographic, except for women (51%), 50-64 year olds (51%), and African Americans (57%). Despite his fantastic resume, and popularity among bloggers, it is not immediately apparent that Sen. Webb would help Obama expand his base.Webb_2

Chris Dodd Endorses Obama, Urges Party Unity

by admin ·

The blogosphere’s favorite son, Sen. Chris Dodd, endorsed Barack Obama today. His endorsement reflected the feeling that as March 4 approaches (and Obama continues to rise in the polls), this race is drawing to a close:

“It is now the hour to come together,” he told reporters in Cleveland. “I believe the hour has come now for us to make that choice – to stand up and say we’re going to get behind this candidacy.”

Clinton Says She Will Press the Delegate Issue

by admin ·

Hillary Clinton gave an interview to a local PBS show, Texas Monthly Talks, the other day, and though the interview won’t air on TV until next week, a clip regarding the Florida and Michigan delegates is already on-line. In it Clinton continues her case that her wins in Florida and Michigan should be counted as valid victories:

The press seems to have missed the distinction if that’s the case. The talk is that you agreed not to seat the delegation.

Clinton Opens Fire on Obama

by admin ·

According to CNN, Hillary Clinton’s campaign has opened full fire on the Obama campaign. For once, I think her rhetoric could really damage Obama’s credibility. I’d suggest Obama needs Edwards’ endorsement at this point to help him gain ground in Ohio, which is largely made up of middle-class workers who are largely Clinton supporters. All recent polls have him down by double digits in the Buckeye State. And Clinton has begun to go for the jugular.

Obama vs. Clinton: An Informal Poll

by admin ·

We’re conducting our first unscientific poll of the current status of the two Democratic front-runners. Scroll down a bit, and you’ll find a box wherein you can pledge your support for a specific candidate. This is also a very informal site at this time, so if anyone would care to send a message either in support of or against either of the leading candidates, please email me. My email link is locating at the top left of the page.
